How to build confidence?
A lot of people have a low self esteem because of the fear of failing or being alone. We live in a world with a lot of distractions there makes us forget about who we are.
You just bought a house you really worked your ass of to get and then you see your neighboors house, which is bigger than yours. Now you feel like shit.
To love ourselves more, we need to stop comparing ourselves to other people. I get it!!! Her booty picture got more likes than your booty picture on instagram, but your booty is still nice!!! We have to understand that we aren't other people and that we aren't here for the same reason.
We look at facebook/instagram where people are posting pictures of their happy life, magazines full of beautiful models with perfect bodys, tv programs with big stars who are living luxury lifes.
All these people are normal humans just like us and have their own problems.
Too boost our confident we have to understand that the world is a stage full of actors and everything we see or hear is not always true.
Everytime you allow someone else to give you value, you lose confidence.
There was a time were my confidence depended on other people. As a model you go through periods with jobs everyday and periods where there is less to do. People judge you by your look, not only in the fashion industry but also people outside of the industry. "Oh are you a model?" Modeling is my job yes, but I am so much more than that! I'm a good listener, good dancer, I love making people laugh, I love nature. There are so many other amazing thing about me, I rather would talk about. And when I was surrounded by people who only saw me as "a model", it was easy to forget that I was more than that.
You have so many sides of yourself and if you want other people to know your values, you are the one who are responsible to show them. Don't wait for other people to see it in you, but start showing yourself how amazing being you are and other people will start seeing it in you as well!
What are you eating? Health is wealth. Its very simple! If you want to feel good on the inside, you have to be aware what you are putting in to your mouth. If you don't believe me, try to eat Mac Donalds for a week, if you already do, try the opposite!
When I realized how much food is connected to how we feel about ourselves, I started filling my body with fruit and vegetables. Plant based food makes us mentally, spiritually and emotionaly stronger. I had this conversation with a friend yesterday who said "If your grandparents (for some people grandparents parents) doesn't know the food, its not good for you." ;)
How do you see yourself right now? How you see yourself is more important than how you are.
You can look great, be smart but still don't feel great about yourself. I meet so many models who are the most beautiful people on the outside, but have an extremely low self-esteem anyway.
When I found out how much self-talk is connected to how we fell about ourselves, I became very aware of what I was telling myself. If you tell yourself "They don't like me" thats whats gonna happen, cause that's the energy you are sending out to the universe.
Always ask yourself "is that something I want in my life?" If your answer is no, change your thoughts to something there gives you power like "I love myself, I am unique, I can do everything I want to."
To boost our self-esteem we have to let go of soceitys expectations. You are not here to do what everybody else is doing, you are here to do what makes YOU happy. We have to remember that not everybody came to earth for the same reason and trust that we know what is best for us. What makes us happy, makes us feel confident, that means that you should do more of that!
Confidence is actually all about trusting ourselves, supporting ourselves and trusting the universe. Everytime you are doubting yourself, ask yourself "What would I tell my best friend if she was feeling like me right now" If you don't know, call your best friend. If you don't want to call your best friend count on me! ;)
